Code of conduct

This conduct applies to all parties involved with Zodiac Television in broadcasting as well as the production and delivery of media - last updated May 2024

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to outline appropriate behavior and content standards for all television programs, films, videos and other media produced and broadcasts by Zodiac Television.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees of Zodiac Television, including full-time, part-time and contract workers, as well as any external producers or creators who provide content for broadcast on our television channel or online platforms.

Policy Standars

Below is a brief summary of the standards we uphold

Content

  1. All content must be suitable for general audiences and comply with relevant classification ratings and laws.
  2. Programs must not contain any illegal, demeaning, dangerous or unethical behavior or content. This includes, but is not limited to, pornography, gratuitous violence, harassment, invasion of privacy, defamation, discrimination or advocacy of dangerous illegal acts.
  3. Political, religious or socially sensitive topics must be handled responsibly and respectfully without bias or offense.

Accuracy

  1. All factual claims must be properly researched and sourced from credible experts or organizations..
  2. Re-creations of real events or people must be clearly labeled as such and not presented as unaltered facts.

Privacy

  1. No individual may have their reasonable expectation of privacy violated without clear and informed consent.

Review process

  1. All programs and content will be reviewed by the compliance team for adherence to this policy prior to broadcast or publication. Producers must provide all requested materials and context.
  2. Content deemed non-compliant will be rejected or require revisions before approval can be given.

Review process

Failure to follow this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contracted work. Producers may be held legally and financially liable for broadcasting non-compliant content.
